Two contrasting railways both running on the former GWR line between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth / Newcastle Emlyn.
The 2' gauge Teifi Valley Railway has had its share of problems but is now up and running again on around ¼ mile of track from the site of Henllan station whereas the Gwili Railway had recently been extended to the outskirts of Carmarthen shortly before our visit.
